What is eLearning?
PADI's eLearning is an online version of the
PADI knowledge development portion of a PADI course. Currently, the PADI
Open Water Course, Advanced Open Water Course and Enriched Air course can be
completed on line. You will complete the diving with an SJ Scuba Instructor.
How does it work?
After enrolling, PADI’s eLearning system presents you with interactive
presentations that include videos, audio, graphics and reading. Short
quizzes let you gauge your progress, and review and correct anything you
might happen to miss. This lets you move through the program efficiently and
at your own pace.
What does it cost?
The PADI Open Water Diver Course online is $120 (US) nonrefundable. The fee
covers your knowledge development training and gives you unlimited access to
an electronic version of the PADI Open Water Diver Manual (course textbook).
What does it not cover?
The PADI Open Water Diver Course online does not provide a log book or eRDPML
that you can use to log and plan dives after the course is completed.
SJ Scuba will provide a log book, which you will keep, to log both
your training and future dive experiences.
What else do you need to do?
The PADI Open Water Diver Course requires you complete a medical statement
before taking part in the confined water dives (pool). Please fill out the
fist page of the attached medical form by answering each question as No or
Yes. If you have any Yes answers, please have your family doctor fill out
the second page and bring with you to the pool. CLICK
